How our sizing works

Most swimwear is sold in dress sizes, which tells you almost nothing about how a top will sit. Every KELKINI piece is graded on cup instead, in three sizes.

SmallA–B cup

Fits closest through the bust. Halterneck ties shorten easily if you are petite through the shoulders.

MediumC–D cup

Our most-ordered size. Sits true through the underbust with room to adjust at the neck.

LargeD+ cup

Cut with a deeper cup and a longer tie so the top holds without digging in.

Start with your underbust. It is the measurement that decides your size — everything else is confirmation.

How to measure

Use a soft tape over bare skin or light underwear. Keep the tape level and snug, never tight.

Bust
Measure around the fullest part of the bust, tape level and not pulled tight.
Underbust
Measure directly under the bust, where a band would sit. This is the one that decides your cup.
Waist
Measure the narrowest part of the natural waist, usually just above the navel.
Hip
Stand with feet together and measure around the fullest part of the hips.

Stretch factor

Every product page carries a stretch rating out of three, so you know how much give a piece has before you order.

1 — Structured. Holds its shape firmly. Take your measured size.

2 — Balanced. Contours with some give. Most pieces sit here.

3 — Generous. Very forgiving. Size down if you are between cups.

Fit by style

One-Pieces

Cut-out one-pieces sit high on the hip with a thong back. Torso length matters more than dress size here — if you are 5’9” or taller, size up for comfort through the body.

Bikini Sets

Tops and bottoms are graded together but the tie fastenings mean the set adapts. Choose on your underbust measurement and adjust the rest.

Sets & Dresses

Three-piece sets and dresses run looser by design and are meant to be worn over swimwear. If you are between sizes, take the smaller one.

Keeping the fit

Swimwear loses shape through heat and chemicals, not through wear. Four habits keep a piece fitting like new.

Rinse cold, every time
Chlorine, salt and sun cream all break down elastane. Rinse in cold fresh water as soon as you are out.
Never wring
Press the water out between your palms or a towel. Twisting is what stretches the seams.
Dry flat, out of the sun
Reshape while damp and lay flat in the shade. Hanging pulls the piece out of shape.
No dryer, no radiator, no iron
Heat is the one thing swimwear does not recover from.

Fit questions

Take the larger one. Every top has adjustable halterneck or tie fastenings, so a slightly generous cup can be brought in. A cup that is too small cannot be let out.

The nylon spandex is designed to recover its shape after each wear. Rinse in cold water, reshape and dry flat — heat is what breaks elastane down, so avoid tumble dryers, radiators and direct midday sun.

No. Pieces are graded by cup rather than dress size, so they tend to fit closer through the bust and more generously through the body than high-street swimwear.
